Accessibility Standards
We are committed to complying with the Accessibility Standards for Customer Service, Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR), and the Ontario Building Code Accessibility provisions, as applicable to our organization.
Communication
We will communicate with individuals with disabilities in a manner that takes into account their disability. This may include providing information in accessible formats or with the assistance of support persons or communication aids.
Training
We will ensure that all employees, volunteers, and contractors who interact with the public or are involved in the development of policies, practices, or procedures receive training on Ontario's accessibility laws and on how to interact with individuals with disabilities.
Assistive Devices
We are committed to ensuring that individuals with disabilities are able to use their own assistive devices to access our goods and services whenever possible.
Service Animals
We welcome individuals with disabilities who are accompanied by a service animal on the parts of our premises that are open to the public or other third parties, except where prohibited by law.
Support Persons
We welcome individuals with disabilities who are accompanied by a support person. Any fees or charges associated with the support person's presence will be communicated to the individual with a disability in advance.
Notice of Temporary Disruption
In the event of a planned or unexpected disruption to services or facilities that are used by individuals with disabilities, we will provide notice as soon as possible. This notice will include information about the reason for the disruption, its anticipated duration, and alternative options, if available.
Feedback Process
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our goods, services, and facilities. Individuals may provide feedback by phone, email, in person, or through accessible formats. We will respond to feedback in a timely manner.
Accessibility Plan
We will develop, implement, and maintain an accessibility plan that outlines our strategy for preventing and removing barriers to accessibility. This plan will be reviewed and updated at least once every five years.
